So as per Section 204 of Companies Act 2013 Companies need to get secretarial audit done by a Practising Company secretary.
Following companies are required to obtain ‘Secretarial Audit Report’ form independent practising company secretary;
(1) Every listed company
(2) Public company having a paid-up share capital of Fifty Crore rupees or more; or
(3) Public company having a turnover of Two Hundred Fifty Crore rupees or more.
There is also a specified scope of the same which should be covered in the Secretarial Audit or Corporate affairs audit.
